October Aggie Ring Day is Friday, Oct 9 (9 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and Saturday, Oct 10 (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.), 2026, at the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center. There's also a quieter pickup day on Thursday, Oct 8. Grandparents, parents and siblings come in for it, and Howdy Home lets the whole group stay under one roof, 13 minutes from the Alumni Center, with a backyard ready for the celebration.

Which day should your student pick?
The Association of Former Students runs the 3 days very differently:
- Thursday, Oct 8, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.: set aside for people with mobility needs or anyone who wants to skip the crowds. There are 30-minute group time blocks, and spots are limited and first-come, first-served. You can park at the Alumni Center, and there are no shuttles. Lines are short, and there are no professional photographers or Ring Day Marketplace.
- Friday, Oct 9, and Saturday, Oct 10: the traditional Ring Day, with thousands of people. There are 15-minute group time blocks. There's no parking at the Alumni Center. Shuttles run from the West Campus Garage, and Houston Street is closed. Professional photographers are in Aggie Park, the Ring Day Marketplace is open, and you should expect long lines.
If a grandparent has trouble standing for a long time, Thursday is worth asking about.
Getting there from the house
- Friday or Saturday: Drive about 12 minutes (roughly 5.2 miles) to the West Campus Garage, then take the shuttle. Leave earlier than you think you need to.
- Thursday: Drive about 13 minutes (roughly 5.8 miles) straight to the Alumni Center and park there.
The house has parking for 4 cars, so relatives arriving separately won't have to fight over spots.
The rest of the weekend
The Bryan TX Songwriter Festival takes over Historic Downtown Bryan on Friday and Saturday, about a 10-minute walk from the house. The Aggies play at Missouri on Saturday, so you can celebrate in the backyard and watch the game on the 65" TV. There's a fire pit, cornhole, outdoor dining and a propane grill with a pizza oven. If your family is planning a ring dunk, the house has the kitchen and the yard for it.
Food nearby
Downtown Bryan's restaurants are a short walk away, and festival weekend makes walking the easy choice. The Proudest Monkey on Main Street is a good stop for burgers and tacos. If you'd rather cook a celebration dinner at the house, H-E-B on N. Texas Ave. is about 5 minutes away.
