Texas A&M's fall Commencement and Commissioning is Friday and Saturday, Dec 11–12, 2026. The Office of the Registrar lists both the bachelor's ceremonies and the master's and doctoral ceremonies at Reed Arena. Fall finals end Thursday, Dec 10, so many families arrive that night. Howdy Home gives parents, grandparents and siblings a whole house, about 14 minutes from Reed Arena.

When will we know our ceremony time?
Not yet. The registrar assigns colleges to ceremonies after the no-late-fee application deadline, so the ceremonies run about the same length. For now, the schedule lists the times as "TBD – Reed Arena." If you book Thursday through Saturday night, your stay covers every ceremony slot, and you won't have to change plans when the assignments are posted. We'll update this page once the times are out.
Plan for graduation weekend
- Thursday, Dec 10: Finals end, and families arrive. Check in after 4 p.m. with the keypad.
- Ceremony day: Leave early. Reed Arena seats 12,989, guest seating is first-come, first-served and the doors open at least an hour before each ceremony. If your graduate is commissioning with the Corps of Cadets, check their commissioning time separately.
- After the ceremony: Come back to the house for photos on the front porch, dinner from the full kitchen and the fire pit in the fenced backyard. Central heat keeps it comfortable on a December evening.
- Sunday, Dec 13: Check out by 11 a.m., with no checkout chores.
Getting to Reed Arena
Reed Arena is on the west side of campus, about 5.6 miles from the house, roughly 14 minutes without traffic. Allow extra time on graduation days, when several ceremonies run back to back. The house has parking for 4 cars, so relatives can come and go on their own schedules.
Celebrating nearby
For a celebration dinner out, Downtown Bryan's locally owned restaurants are about a 10-minute walk from the house. December's First Friday is Dec 4, a week earlier, so graduation weekend downtown is calmer. If you'd rather cook for the whole family at the house, Kroger on Boonville Road is about 6 minutes away.
